PS3 is new hardware and can do different things than XBOX 360. While you do hear fanboys all the time say it's the same thing just more expensive. It might actually be quite different.
Too many games look like the same style of first person shooter right now. I hope developers do start exploring the PS3 and start producing some games of it's own. While the user base isn't that big, it will grow if it gets more games. Not to be a fanboy or anything but I DON'T want all the games...
The game won't be out till fall 08.
On a side note, while this is pretty obvious and maybe more of an educated guess, EGM's rumors are pathetic. They once said Resident Evil 5 was going to be PS3 exclusive, when Capcom has clearly said the whole time that it's both PS3 and XBOX 360.
Another video comparison and fanboys saying I told you so? Or like I said, PS3 version could be better in it's on way if EA actually takes the time to make use of other PS3 stenghts.
Edit: Wouldn't it be safe to say already, that frame rates is not the PS3 strenght? You look a game like Motorstorm even, which had some sick visuals better than XBOX 360 but most of it came from the backgrounds and lighting effects, it didn't strike me as having amazing frate rates.
The article also mentiones 2k sports and all pro football. But come on... 2k sports couldn't carry EA's jock strap.
It's not so dramatic, it doesn't have to win or it doesn't have to crash and burn. The answer is it can do well and get back into things.
XBOX 360 will have a smoother... crappy last gen rehash! What else is new? Have you people seen screen shots of Madden 08? It's the same sh*t, it's the same game every year. Madden is for casual gamers, do you expect ground breaking stuff from a developer who is bringing Madden 08 to Wii, PS2, PSP, Gamecube and Mobile.
Give me a break... Casual gamers will buy this game like they do every year for the console they own. Won't be surprised if the PS2 version still sells the most....
No it's not saying that the XBOX version was better. It's rating it on this gen's standards.
9.3 for a next gen game with HD graphics, that's a huge score for a game.
Edit: To the dude below me, Gears of War is next gen. Infact it's XBOX 360's most impressive game so far. I don't understand your point, a 9.3 and 9.4 isn't that big of a difference. Just proves my point that you can't be mad at a 9.3
Dispite of the hickups here and there still, like they whole Madden 30 frames per second and Beautiful Katamari, Developers are starting to pickup on the PS3 more and more. A few developers are even wanting to start to lead develope for PS3, even if the game is not exclusive.
If you disagree that blu ray players getting cheaper is also a factor. atleast say why. blu ray players getting cheaper doesn't count? Why?
Did people just make that up? HD DVD is doing well you guys say because of lower prices, what about when Blu ray lowers it's prices? That doesn't count?
The price of stand alone blu ray players, that's the KEY. PS3 can only get Blu ray on the right path, it's up to stand alone players.
But 5 - 1 is not close to even. So wouldn't that make you wrong right out of the gates?
This sh*t is real. Same with all the broken XBOX 360's. Everyone wouldn't be saying it, if it wasn't true. I had an XBOX 360 but it's not working anymore.

This format war is not over, but it is in Blu rays hands. The only way HD DVD wins now is if Blu ray just stands and watches.
They know the only chance HD DVD has is by selling itself really cheap. If it starts working, then they have to counter by doing the same thing. It's obvious.

Without PS3, I think HD DVD would win this format war. HD DVD's still sell because like The MART said, people who do buy them are fully committed to movies. But These Early adopters of PS3 are probably a bit more aware than the casual crowd would be about the PS3 Blu ray capabilties, so they are putting them to use. How else could you explain blu ray sales increasing ever since PS3 came out?

That game had sick graphics. The gameplay wasn't that deep and it lacked multi-player modes so it wasn't a Killer app. Maybe that's why people overlook it.
But if we are talking simply graphics Motorstorm holds it's own with any XBOX 360 game, even Gears of war. It's a totally different kind of game. I only mention it because it's XBOX 360's most impressive game so far.
But after Motorstorm, I'm not too worried about the PS3's ability to make graphics.
It will do okay, because it's Halo. But Japan doesn't even like First Person shooters. I think Final Fantasy XIII has a much better chance to make a difference.
XBOX 360 could be better, or developers are more familair with the XBOX 360 hardware right now. It's one of the two, and there is no way of knowing right know.
Look at it this way also, if Forza 2 came to PS3, it would probably look better on XBOX 360. But then compare Gran Turismo HD to Forza 2. Gran Turismo HD looks superior. So who knows, 3rd partys continue to look better on XBOX 360 but PS3 has some sick looking first party games that in my opinion look more graphicly imp...
If timesplitters is PS3 exclusive I'll take it. And Assasins creed was announced PS3 exclusive before PS3 was released. Yeah some developers changed their mind because of slow PS3 sales. But at this point with Sales not being a surprise, if a developer announced a PS3 exclusive game, it has a very good chance of staying exclusive or atleast for a while. But to me timed exclusives are just as good as exclusives.

This rumor keeps getting mentioned more and more. I think it's true because you keep hearing that Sony and Epic are working together. Maybe an exlusive game, maybe a PS3 lead developed game.
XBOX 360 has it's exlcuive Gears of War, so there is nothing wrong with Sony getting a game also. Unless your a fanboy.
